Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer

I don’t buy nearly as many magazines as I used to but I’ve been a regular reader of Glamour for a long time now. I always pick up a copy every month and when I saw what they had planned for the December issue, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!

First off, the cover star is one of my favourite Youtubers Tanya Burr (if you missed it, I reviewed her debut book upon its release earlier this year!). Secondly, every issue comes with a beautiful miniature Clinique product.

Choose from the High Impact mascara, Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion or two different shades of their Pop Lip Colour and Primer. I initially went with the lipstick in the colour Nude Pop…then the next day, I went back and picked up another copy to get the other shade Cherry Pop too!

They’re both so different but equally beautiful. Nude Pop is a pink-toned neutral shade. Think “your lips but better”, it gives a pretty hint of colour and subtle sheen. Then you have Cherry Pop which is pretty much the complete opposite! It’s as vibrant as it sounds — a bright red that will be particularly perfect for the Christmas season.

These leave lips feeling soft and moisturised. The primer in them helps to smooth and define and prevents the colour from bleeding. After application, there’s no drying out or sticky feeling and I can generally get 4 – 6 hours wear. The packaging is so gorgeous too; compact, stylish and sleek.

If I had to choose only one, I’d lean towards Nude Pop. I just feel I’d get more wear out of that one but really; I’m glad to have them both! Glamour retails here at about €3.30 (£2 in the U.K.) and for what you get in return, it’s well worth picking up a copy or two!
