Burt’s Bees Sample Set

Possibly my favourite item in my LLAM goodie bag is the Burt’s Bees sample set. Beautifully presented in a delicate organza bag were four products from the renowned brand.

Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion: I was sceptical about trying this as I’m not usually a fan of body lotions — I find they can often be too heavy and sticky. However I was impressed with how quickly and easily this absorbed in to my skin, leaving it soft and delicately scented.

Coconut Foot Cream: When they’ve been bundled up in socks and boots all winter, feet tend to need a little extra attention around this time of year. This cream is ideal for when you want to restore and ready neglected feet.

Baby Bee Shampoo: This is aimed at the little ones but I still gave it a go! It has a light runny formula and would probably suit ladies with short fine hair. My long thick hair definitely needs something more intensive! I used it with my conditioner and although my hair was clean and shiny afterwards, I think my conditioner had been doing most of the work. Still it’s nicely scented and it’s also tear-free which is always a nice bonus!

Hand Salve: This seems to be something of a cult product and one that I always meant to try. I received a handbag-friendly 8.5 g (0.3 oz.) tin. You only need the smallest amount of this for it to be effective so I estimate that I’ll get up to fifteen applications out of this. It has a medicinal smell — quite like Vick’s VapoRub — and it takes a little while to sink in so it’s ideal to use this before bed or when you have a free morning/afternoon/evening…if ever you needed an excuse for a pampering session, this would be it!

  1. I use the Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream as a lip balm! I actually thought that’s what the little tin in your pack there was because it looks just like that, but I see it’s not. I know you’re probably not supposed to use hand products on your mouth, but honestly, it’s the best lip balm I’ve ever used, on its own, or on top of lipstick. I’m sure it’s ok, I’ve been using it like that for about a year now and I’m perfectly fi….aagghh!!!

    1. I never thought of trying it on my lips but I might give that a go now! They are natural products so I’d say it should be fine…right?!

  2. I love their hand salve! I picked up one of their facial cleansers the other day and it’s my absolute new favorite! I’ve always really liked Burt’s Bees products 🙂
