My blog is two years old today :-). Now I couldn’t let this day pass without some sort of acknowledgment so…I made a cake (of course)!
This celebration cake consists of two intensely chocolate sponges sandwiched together with rich buttercream, covered in fresh whipped cream and finished off with plenty of sprinkles. It’s so deliciously decadent, fun and indulgent. With the name of my blog in mind, I added a few drops of blue food colouring to both the buttercream and the fresh cream. I loved cutting in to the cake to reveal the rich dark goodness beneath all that pale frothy topping.
Many thanks to all my readers and followers. I have so much fun just writing up these posts but your likes and comments are the (blue) icing on the cake! I’m looking forward to seeing — and sharing — what happens over the next twelve months…x
