Rimmel 1000 Kisses

Wanting to add a splash of colour to my look this weekend, I picked up Rimmel’s 1000 Kisses in Number 600 Carry on Cherry. It’s described as ‘a transfer proof lip tint and balm’. On one end of the sleek tube is a marker-style nib with the colour and on the opposite end is a stub of lip balm. Users are instructed to apply the colour first and top it off with the balm for a ‘lasting finish’.

Carry on Cherry is a deep red shade which I really like. It gives a nice stained colour that is pronounced without being overwhelming. It’s not totally transfer proof but it does have decent enough staying power. I get between 3 to 4 hours wear with each application. What I particularly like about this product is that it feels quite moisturising on your lips. A lot of lip products claim that they won’t dry out but 1000 Kisses is one of the few that actually keeps this promise. Available in six different shades, this retails at around €7.45 and is in-store now.

  1. Thanks for the review, I’m always looking for good lip solutions! Like you say, a lot of the long lasting lipsticks do dry you out, either that, or they go kind of bitty and flaky looking after a few hours which is not pretty! I don’t mind it gradually disappearing, but not going horrible looking along the way! I might try this one 🙂
