Proper Lush

When a friend of mine surprised me with a little Lush gift box last week, I was seriously thrilled. I’m a big fan of Lush’s handmade cosmetics but I hadn’t bought any for myself in ages. What I love about Lush is that not only are their products high quality; they also always look pretty great too.

My box had an intergalactic theme and was wrapped in purple star-studded glow-in-the-dark paper and fastened with silver ribbon. It was packed with Ecoflo, which can be reused or composted, and a handy little mini-catalogue of selected products.

Inside the box was a Rock Star soap and a Space Girl Bath Ballistic bath bomb. The soap is pink and smells deliciously sweet. It can be used on the face or body and leaves your skin feeling soft and delicately scented. The bath bomb is a pretty lilac colour with glittery flecks and a subtle grapefruit scent. In the bath; it promptly explodes and steadily turns the water in to pale purple shade with crimson red streaks. Like all other Lush products, these were perfect for an indulgent evening of pampering!

  1. I swear, bath bombs must be a UK thing because I have never seen them in the US. They look awesome though! It’s like bubbles, but less work because you don’t have to swirl everything around with your hands to get a good lather going.

    1. I love them! We only get bath bombs here in Ireland because Lush is a UK shop and we’re lucky enough to have a few of those around here 🙂

  2. I absolutely love Lush products – I was spending over £50 a month in there at one point! Have cut it back now though.. 😉 I love their ballistics and also their seanik shampoo bar is amazing for my dreads!

      1. They’re great! They’re residue free which is great for me too.. They do conditioning bars too I think (as in the shampoo is conditioning rather than a conditioner bar). Lots to choose from and they smell nice too, not too intense or sweet!
