I received a copy of 1001 Cupcakes, Cookies & other tempting treats at Christmas and I haven’t stopped thumbing through it ever since! This book is filled with so many great must-try recipes that I didn’t know where to start. After much deliberation, I eventually decided to go with the flaky cream puffs.
This was such a straightforward recipe that delivered perfect results. Who knew that something as simple as a layer of jam and a dollop of cream between soft flaky pastry could be so good?! I know for a fact that I will be making these cream puffs over and over again. They’re sweet, delicate and delicious – a perfect choice for teatime, particularly on a wet Sunday afternoon.
