It’s so easy to fall in to a rut when it comes to dinnertime. Tried-and-trusted dishes make for comforting and reliable food but overtime; it can get pretty dull. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for recipes where our favourite meals are made with a twist.
I’ve had sweet-and-sour chicken more times than I can remember, but I’d never even thought of trying it any other way. I found this recipe for sweet-and-sour steak online and decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I did! This is such a great dish if you want something quick and tasty. It’s easy enough to rustle up, and the flavours work so well together. I was cooking for my family and I served the sweet-and-sour steak with chunky golden chips and a simple green salad. It was an instant hit and I’ve already been asked to make it again. I definitely will be giving this another go but obviously not too soon….(must avoid the dreaded rut, after all!)
