Crack your Colour

Nail polishes are, without doubt, my favourite beauty products to experiment with. Just last week, I bought Gosh No. 598 Bubble Gum nail lacquer as a distraction from the miserable summer that we’ve been having. The colour is as cute as it sounds but in a way, it turned out almost too sweet for my taste.

As I’m always on the lookout for quirky new products to try, I was really excited to spy the new Rimmel Crack Your Colour nail polish in-store. It’s described as black graffiti and I decided it would be the perfect way to toughen up my pretty-in-pink nails.

Simply apply one even layer of the Crack Your Colour polish over any other colour of your choice. Allow it to dry and watch it ‘crack’ to reveal the colour underneath. It’s really important to only apply one layer of Crack Your Colour on each nail to allow the original shade of polish to show through.

I was really pleased with the results. It’s a fun look and a great alternative to a plain manicure. I can definitely see a lot more of my nail colours getting ‘cracked’ in the future!

    1. I picked it up at a local pharmacy but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them in Boots as well, just search the Rimmel stands – these bottles tend to be buried in with the regular colours of polish so you have to keep an eye out for them 🙂
