It will be postponed until June 30 if MPs back her deal when it is put to them for a third time next week.

Just minutes before the vote on the extension, Parliament voted 85 to 334 against a second referendum in what is seen as a small win in an otherwise turbulent week for Prime Minister Theresa May.

The government motion to extend Article 50 beyond the official Brexit deadline day, seeks a delay until June 30, on the condition MPs back May's negotiated deal by March 20. This means the United Kingdom may not now leave on 29 March as previously planned. Mrs.

Prime Minister Theresa May will now travel to Brussels to try and seek an extension until June 30, but it is understood European Union officials will push for a longer period of time.

Most Conservative MPs voted against delaying Brexit - including seven cabinet members - meaning Mrs.

Shadow housing minister Yvonne Fovargue, shadow education minister Emma Lewell-Buck, shadow business minister Justin Madders, Ruth Smeeth, a shadow ministerial aide, and Labour whip Stephanie Peacock, all resigned to oppose one.

This is the date May has given for an exit under her deal.

MPs have twice rejected the deal struck by Prime Minister Theresa May's with the other 27 European Union nations - in January and on Tuesday.

Parliament has now voted against a "no-deal" Brexit and in favor of an extension.

The Daily Telegraph reported two senior Downing Street figures believe she should "fall on her sword" by setting out the timetable for her departure.

Only 85 MPs voted in favour and 334 voted against - a disappointment for numerous 48 percent of Britons who had voted in 2016 to stay in the EU.

He spoke publicly Tuesday for the first time since January and his recent shutdown for the remainder of the season. Bosh eventually retired due to blood clotting issues, but many other athletes have continued to compete.

The wording of the amendment calling for the new referendum - which has been selected for debate by Speaker John Bercow - proposes a choice between a deal as agreed by the parliament, and staying in the EU.

The UK is due to leave the European Union in 15 days time.

She blamed prime minister Theresa May for the current state of the Brexit negotiations and said after listening to people living in Makerfield could not support putting the question back to the people.

The Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) - which twice rejected Mrs May's deal in the Commons - is holding talks with the government to see if a solution could be found allowing its MPs to support the prime minister in a future vote.

Britain's opposition Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn leaves his house in north London on March 11, 2019.

"It's clear that the House of Commons has to find a consensus around something, and if it isn't the prime minister's deal I think it is likely to be something which is much less to the taste of those on the hard Brexit wing of my party".

"I also reiterate our support for a People's Vote - not as a political point-scoring exercise but as a realistic option to break the deadlock".

Labour whipped its MPs to abstain on the referendum vote, but 24 voted in favour - not including Brighton's Lloyd Russell-Moyle, who went through both lobbies to cancel his own vote out.

MPs voting against no-deal on Wednesday evening was an expression of opinion.

When the real costs and new facts of Brexit are properly scrutinised, MPs will also have the chance to consider whether it's only fair to give the public a real say and a new vote - or if they want to force Brexit on the British people any way.

"SHE DIDN'T LISTEN" U.S. President Donald Trump, who had earlier said he looked forward to negotiating a "large scale" trade deal with Britain after Brexit, added to May's headaches by criticising her handling of the crisis.
