Howard Schultz Deletes Tweet Linking To Column Disparaging 2020 Dems

What Elizabeth Warren Gets Wrong About the RichMore

Harris called for the abolition of private health insurance at a CNN town hall on Monday night. "We would do everything we can to ensure that his candidacy is unsuccessful", said Patrick McHugh, executive director of Priorities USA, which spent almost $200 million in the 2016 presidential contest.

Yet another billionaire's hat has been thrown - possibly - into the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination: Howard Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO, which effectively expands the circus to a full three rings.

Howard Schultz may be on tour to sell books, but political passions took centre stage at the retired Starbucks chief executive's inaugural stop on Monday (Jan 28).

Shouted the heckler: "Don't help elect Trump, you egotistical, billionaire a**hole". Poor, hapless Howard Schultz and his overfunded midlife crisis just got in their way.

As he backs his newly released book, From The Ground Up, Schultz will be travelling to cities across the US. If that's the case, maybe the party should get serious about nominating someone who isn't trying to nationalize one-fifth of the economy and run job creators out of the country.

"What I think I can bring is a level of servant leadership that I have acquired over nearly over 40 years and what I've learned along the way. That's the voice I want to give", Schultz declared.

But even those close to Schultz acknowledge that he hasn't had a flawless week, the biggest blunder being the deleted tweet.

High chance of ‘heavy snow’ across Sussex
Details: Showers will develop during Thursday night and continue into Friday morning falling as a mixture of rain, sleet and snow. Police are advising the public to only travel if essential with snow affecting many parts of Devon and Dorset.

Schultz, though, says if he runs it will be as a third party independent. Besides, America already has that! 'I only hope that Starbucks is still paying me their rent in Trump Tower!'

To date, Schultz has commissioned at least six national polls on his viability and place in the 2020 field, the advisers said.

Anyone watching cable or network news could see the talking points were in: If Schultz runs, Trump wins.

The rhetorical onslaught of a would-be candidate who hasn't even officially entered the race has left many Democrats howling, accusing Schultz of embarking on an arrogant campaign with little chance of success other than potentially handing President Donald Trump a second term in office. "And I wanted to clarify the word 'independent, ' which I view merely as a designation on the ballot". Schultz, who said this past weekend he's considering running for president as an independent, is also seeking to appeal to moderate voters.

"It was sloppy and dumb and shouldn't have happened", said a source with knowledge of the Schultz operation.

He called Trump "a very insecure man" and said the President had "been on the wrong side of nearly every issue". So it has to be a different way.

Schultz, a self-identified "lifelong Democrat", earned a reputation as one of the most progressive corporate leaders with his unwavering support of gay marriage, racial equality and labor-friendly policies during his tenure at the coffee company. "The most important thing facing the country right now is answering the question in the affirmative, and that is 'Do we believe that our children and grandchildren are going to have a better life than we do?' And most Americans today believe that is not the case, and that is unacceptable to me".
