Border Patrol agent hospitalized after being assaulted by illegal immigrant

"As DHS confirmed weeks ago, there are at least 600 known criminals in the caravan flow".

The Mayor of Tijuana took his war against the Central American migrant caravan to the next level Friday; saying he was prepared to stop funding the asylum seekers and calling for the arrest of their leading organizers.

On Tuesday, U.S. agents in Ajo, Arizona arrested two men traveling with the caravan who had ties to MS-13, a notorious gang from El Salvador whose members have brutally killed numerous Americans.

Charges were not filed because the administration generally doesn't separate families and because Customs and Border Protection didn't collect enough evidence needed to build cases, including the names of arresting officers, according to a USA official familiar with the matter who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Prosecutors said the agent placed his body on Rodriguez's right arm to try to control gain control of the pistol, and the two men wrestled for about a minute until two other Border Patrol agents arrived.

Still, as many as half the 6,000 or so migrants who have been staying at the sports complex were milling around at midafternoon, apparently unwilling to relocate to the new shelter much farther from the border.

Trump plans to go ahead and raise China tariffs
The two sides have been in negotiations for months, but Kudlow described them as being stalemated until just a few weeks ago. Trump's advice to all businesses that manufacture is to "build factories in the United States and to make the product here".

Hundreds of migrants boarded buses at the overcrowded sports complex within view of the border for the trip to the new shelter about 10 miles (15 kilometres) from the border crossing at Otay Mesa and 14 miles (22 kilometres) from San Ysidro, where asylum claimants line up.

Irineo Mujica, who has accompanied the migrants for weeks as part of the aid group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, said the aim of Sunday's march toward the USA border was to make the migrants' plight more visible to the governments of Mexico and the U.S.

Approximately 7,000 migrants remain on the Mexican side of the border demanding to be let into the United States. In June, Trump retreated on the administration's "zero-tolerance" policy on prosecuting illegal entries by generally exempting people who enter the country in families.

U.S. Border Patrol helicopters flew overhead, while U.S. agents held vigil on foot beyond the wire fence in California.

Numerous migrants admit frankly that, when they set out, they had no real strategy beyond reaching the U.S. border. One woman from Honduras, Leida Reyes, told her she thinks this is better than what they lived with back home. One of those other agents used a Taser to subdue Rodriquez, who was detained, arrested and charged in U.S. District Court later that day on one count of assault on a federal officer and one count of alien in possession of a firearm.

"It was awful", said Padilla, who hopes to claim asylum with the boy in the US and join a brother in Los Angeles.
