Russian space capsule carrying three crew-members lands safely in Kazakhstan

ISS astronauts return to earth among US-Russia tensions

This week, Russian space chief Dmitry Rogozin said that leak wasn't caused by a manufacturing defect, reviving rumors about potential sabotage.

A Russian space capsule carrying three men has safely landed in remote Kazakhstan after a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station.

Three members of the Expedition 56 crew, NASA astronauts Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold, and cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, returned to Earth after months overseas the International Space Station and landed safely at 7:44 a.m. EDT (5:44 p.m.in Kazakhstan) southeast of the remote town of Dzhezkazgan in Kazakhstan.

"Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, now believes the hole was made on goal".

After the hole was found, Rogozin and NASA Administrator spoke over the phone on September 12 about the leak.

Ever wonder what astronauts on the International Space Station do in between space walks and exploring the solar system?

Democrats also demanded that the FBI privately brief the Senate about the investigation before the chamber votes. The Democrats said the information in the tweet is "not accurate, " urging the GOP to correct it.

And, now Nasa is trying to clamp down on the notion that the hole was intentional. Ruling out a manufacturing defect indicates that this is an isolated issue which does not categorically affect future production.

Russia's previously said the hole appears to have been made by a drill.

NASA spokeswoman Megan Powers said on Wednesday that, while intentional damage remains one of the possibilities under review, 'we're not expecting it was a bad actor ... we don't think that's the most likely conclusion'.

ISS astronauts are planning a spacewalk in November to gather more information on the hole, which was quickly sealed. A trio of space station crew members returned to Earth on Wednesday. They are slated for launch overseas a Russian Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft on October 11 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, NASA said.

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will attend next week's Soyuz launch and plans to meet with Rogozin to discuss the highly sensitive matter.
