Google's Project Stream lets you play Assassin's Creed Odyssey in Chrome

Google has unveiled Project Stream, a test of a Chrome-based streaming service that aims to let players dive into triple-A caliber games while armed with only a web browser and powerful internet connection. "The idea of streaming such graphically-rich content that requires near-instant interaction between the game controller and the graphics on the screen poses a number of challenges", writes Google's Catherine Hsiao in the blog post. Rather than taking another year off this year, Ubisoft is bringing the series back with Assassins Creed Odyssey, telling the tales of the Peloponnesian War with even more focus on action-role-playing gameplay.

If we look throughout, we will find that Google is the only company which is focussing more on game streaming.

Advertising giant Google has announced it is getting into the cloud gaming business, launching a beta test for Project Stream - an effort to bring triple-A gaming into its Chrome browser on low-end hardware.

"We have many technologies, so it's case by case, but Assassin's Creed has no multiplayer mode, and that is very important for the social aspect of gaming, so we are looking into that."

Earlier this year there were rumors about a certain project codenamed Yeti by Google that aimed to be a video game streaming service.

To have a chance at being selected to participate in the project, you'll have to sign up for Project Stream via the project's website. The new video game streaming service is created to run high-end PC games on the Google Chrome browser. But the test is created to address the challenges of streaming the latest gaming content with little to no latency while maintaining the cutting-edge graphics.
