Google revamps 'Feed' feature, names it 'Discover'

Google introduces new 'Discover' feature as Search turns 20

On its 20th birth anniversary, the search engine also displayed notable doodles from Google. After tapping, the gift box plays a YouTube video that animates popular searches from around the globe over the past two decades.

Whether you find this change helpful or not, you'll be able to better manage what you see with new controls. Tap on one of these videos and you can watch it in its entirety.

The Collections feature is a way to keep your search content in one spot.

If you search for the names of certain celebrities-try Giada Di Laurentiis-you'll get not only the quick factual data Google has been putting in the right half of its results pages, but an Instagram-like "story" with flippable, graphical pages linking to media results for that celebrity. The company said "evergreen" pieces that aren't new will also be shown if they're relevant to the user. This is coming in the next few weeks and will apply to all mobile browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Next up is something called Activity Cards. The service previously known as Google Feed is now Google Discover. Searches are about to include some new results, such as Featured Videos, as well as a selection of some of its AMP Stories when you search or things. On everything posted in Discover, you'll see a toggle that lets you choose to see more or less of any given topic. You can create bundles of content related to a specific search.

Suggested or related topics will also appear. Interestingly, the majority of the changes seem slated to appear within Google's mobile app. "This provides a more holistic view of the video content available for a topic, and opens up new paths to discover more". For example, if you like recipes in Spanish, it will only show pages with Spanish-language recipes, but if you like your news in English, news articles will be in English.

Tiger Woods wins Tour Championship
The people wanted to witness a slice of golf history, but they also seemed to comprehend, for one thing, the value of struggle. While all eyes will be on Woods' attempt to win for the first time since 2013, McIlroy is only concerned with himself.

LinkedIN might be your go-to option for jobs, but Google also has upgraded solutions for you. The company further updated Feed in 2017, bringing "Trending" and the ability to follow topics that you're interested in.

We perform multiple Google Search tasks almost every day to get some information but it often happens that you search for a content a month ago and you want to know what was that.

The new changes are part of Google's ongoing effort to ensure that Search works in a way that aligns with how people now search for content. It looks and acts similarly to a Pinterest board in that any search you save to it is easily accessible later.

The company is constantly thinking about new ways to change its search engine.

"From looking for recipes to studying for an exam, to finding information on where to vote, Google focuses on serving the most relevant, highest quality information as quickly as possible", says Google.
