Gunman opened fire in Cincinnati, four including Andhra-man, dead

Cincinnati Shooting at Downtown Bank: Four Fatalities, Five Injured

Perez has lived in the Cincinnati area since 2015 and has no local criminal history, Isaac said, adding he has a "brief" misdemeanor criminal history in SC and Palm Beach, Florida.

Cincinnati Police have confirmed that the gunman is deceased.

Perez is a USA citizen born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, family members said Thursday.

Police do not know what why the shooter made a decision to open fire in the lobby of the skyscraper that houses the banks headquarters. The gunman had a pistol and more than 200 rounds of ammunition, the chief said.

The motive of the shooting is unclear.

Police in Cincinnati say as many as five people have been shot, two fatally, in an active shooter incident at the Fifth-Third Bank in downtown. Both suits were thrown out, with one judge calling the motion rambling and delusional.

A spokeswoman for Fifth Third Bancorp says the company will comment later. A phalanx of police officers and ambulances rushed to the scene at the height of morning rush.

"Details still emerging. Pray for our city", P.G. Sittenfeld wrote.

"No other industrialized country has this level of multiple active shootings on a regular basis, nearly on a daily basis", Cranley said. "Multiple shot, and tragically there are fatalities".

The three men killed were Luis Felipe Calderon, 48; Pruthvi Raj Kandepi, 25; and Richard Newcomer, 64, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's office.

A Louisville, Kentucky woman was shot 12 times but survived, the Louisville Courier Journal reported. Austin was conscious following the shooting and called her husband, Waller, from the ambulance, Gardner said.

"I just (saw) people running out of the building", the witness said. The officers then entered the building, subdued the suspect and began to render aid to the victims, Isaac said.

He said a woman also was walking into the bank at the same time, but had her headphones on and couldn't hear their warnings.

Leonard Cain told The Enquirer he was going into the bank when someone alerted him about the shooting.

Perez had opened fire in the building's loading dock before continuing into the lobby area and firing more shots, Mr Isaac told reporters at a televised press conference.

Michael Richardson was outside on a smoke break when he said he heard gunshots coming from the bank lobby.

Austin, who works for the bank as a senior product manager for digital lending, said she was "thinking about how I can make a difference in the future". The Police Chief also said the shooter acted alone, and there is no further threat to the public. "Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of the victims, our heartful gratitude goes to the first responders and our continued support goes to this community that we love".

He died at the scene, Isaac said.

The scene was secured within the hour, but Fountain Square and the surrounding area remain closed to traffic. He had completed his post-graduation and was working as a financial consultant at the bank in Cincinnati.

"Earlier today, an active shooter entered our headquarters building in downtown Cincinnati".
