Kevin Durant Plans to Re-Sign With Golden State Warriors

Report Steve Kerr Warriors finalizing contract extension

ESPN reported it is a four-year deal that will be worth $160 million. Those who thought that LeBron James' supposed call to recruit him to Los Angeles would actually work were clearly drinking a little too much LBJ Kool Aid. That could change if Los Angeles acquires Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, who has always been linked to his hometown team, but for now, the Warriors comfortably hold that advantage.

George was actually in town Saturday night, as star teammate Russell Westbrook reportedly threw a big party.

Nike Philippines made the announcement yesterday, with Durant scheduled to have a meet-and-greet at Bonificio Global City, hold a training session with select cagers before capping off his one-day visit with an event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Denver Nuggets signed two key players.

Durant will be top of many teams' wish lists if, as his deal indicates, he plans on testing his value on the open market after a three-year stay with the Warriors. His best season came in 2007-08 when he averaged 20.6 points and five assists per game for the Knicks.

The Thunder also re-signed forward Jerami Grant to a three-year, $27 million deal, according to ESPN.

But he was arrested in 2011 on suspicion of masterminding a robbery that resulted in the death of a police officer. Before the 2010 robbery, he had served a decade behind bars until he convinced officials he regretted his past.

The reality, of course, beats the alternative, but one could argue that instead of treading water, the Rockets took a step backward by losing Ariza, and there's no obvious way to replace his impact going into next season.

Paul is an all-time great, but he's also 33 years old with a reputation for getting injured ahead of big moments.

The second year of the deal is a player option, league sources said, allowing Durant the option to return to the free-agent market in the summer of 2019. Golden State has won back-to-back championships and Durant has earned two straight Finals MVP awards during his time with the team.

It's a win on multiple levels for the two-time defending National Basketball Association champion Warriors. Myers further played along, saying that the Warriors would agree with Durant to a "mid-level behind closed doors". He has agreed to a four-year, $137 million max contract with the Thunder, with a player option on the fourth year.

While details of his new contract are yet to officially confirmed, Paul took to Twitter to announce he was staying with the team who were edged out in the Western Conference finals by the Golden State Warriors.

Adding Paul last offseason fueled Houston to the NBA Finals' doorstep. This time, it won't happen. After playing last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Crawford chose to opt out of his contract and test free agency. He averaged 12 PPG and 15.2 RPG last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
